1. Who Can Request Account Deletion?

Customers (Buyers): You can request to delete your account at any time.

Vendors (Sellers): Vendors can request account deletion, but only after resolving all pending transactions, disputes, and financial obligations.
2. How to Request Account Deletion
To request deletion of your Afrinology account, follow these steps:
Option A: Through Your Afrinology Account

Log into your Afrinology account.

Navigate to Account Settings > Privacy & Security.

Click on Request Account Deletion.

Follow the verification steps.

Confirm the deletion request.
Option B: Via Email
Email us at info@afrinology.com with the subject line: "Account Deletion Request".
Include:

Your full name
-
Registered email address
-
Reason for deletion

Any supporting documents (if required for identity verification)
3. What Happens After You Request Deletion

We will verify your identity within 7 business days.

If you have:

No active orders/disputes: The account will be deleted immediately after verification.

Ongoing transactions or unresolved issues: We’ll notify you that deletion will proceed only once these are resolved.

After deletion:

Your personal data will be removed or anonymized within 30 days, unless retention is required by law (e.g., tax or financial regulations).

You will no longer have access to your order history, product listings, messages, or account features.

Vendors will lose access to their dashboard and payout history (downloadable reports are available before deletion).
4. Data Retention Exceptions

5. Can You Restore a Deleted Account?
No. Once your account is permanently deleted, it cannot be restored. You will need to create a new account if you wish to return to Afrinology.
